Cement prices in Mascara
|
 “The problem with the speculation of cement in the region is not the responsibility of the unit whose primary mission is production, and any illegal transaction are not related to the cement factory”, this was said by Thierry Sansonetti, the Executive Director of the Société des Ciments de Zahana . Indeed, 7 km from the town of Zahana, specifically in the town of Djeniène Meskini, the heavy trucks are in long queues to the main entrance of the plant for carrying cement. The price of cement bag in Zahana reached a very high level.
The difference is enormous, the price of bag of cement in the factory is 225 Algerian Dinar and then was sold with price of 430 Algerian dinar, and in Mascara the price is between 520 Algerian Dinar and 550 Algerian Dinar. According to the administrative director of Société des Ciments de Zahana , Thierry Sansonetti, Zahana plant is a commercial company whose foremost mission is to ensure availability of product on the market on a permanent basis. This is reflected in the marketing of 3,500 tons per day with 3790 Algerian Dinar/ ton and adding that the company disclaims responsibility for any operations outside the factory.
